Can you charge a Ryobi 14.4 V battery with a 18V charger?
18V is around the right voltage to charge 14.4V batteries from. However, you’re probably seeing a charger intended for 18V batteries, which will actually be giving closer to 22-24V, too much for 14.4V batteries.
Can you use an 18 volt battery in a 14.4 volt tool?
No you can’t use 18 volt batteries. You need to upgrade the tools battery and charger.
Can you use a 20 volt battery in a 14.4 volt drill?
Answer: No, these tools are specific to the voltage listed on the tool. A 14.4v drill would require a 14.4v battery. The only exception is with the 18v tools with the use of our DCA1820 adapter, to allow use of the 20v max batteries on most 18v DeWALT tools.
How long does it take to charge a 14.4 volt battery?
Before first use, the battery pack requires 8-10 hours charge time to be fully charged. Subsequent recharging needs 3-5 hours for the battery to be fully charged.
