What happens if your SIM card is broken?
A damaged SIM card disrupts the normal functioning of your phone. If your phone is unable to connect to the mobile network (or on and off), you won’t be able to send or receive calls and text messages or access the internet.
Can a broken SIM card be fixed?
You can repair most SIM cards yourself with a SIM card reader. Unless you’re a scientist specializing in data recovery, you won’t be able to repair a physically damaged SIM card yourself.
How do I know if my SIM card is damaged?
If the SIM card is damaged, your phone will not recognize the SIM card. In that case, you might see that there is no network on your phone. Also, if you go to the ‘SIM Settings’ on your phone, you will see that there is no SIM card available on your phone.
Can I replace my SIM card?
Changing your SIM card allows you to use any device on your provider’s network, so you can quickly change between multiple devices based on your current needs. If your SIM card goes bad, you can swap out SIM cards on your current device, although doing so may cause you to lose some information.
